Each magazine was laid out entirely in less than a week. The magazine’s visual elements became more expressive as competing elements were eliminated. Each travel feature benefited from the change. The photography and editorial design communicate the feeling of travel.
Photography + White space = Aesthetically Pleasing
Full spread photography in the middle of travel stories was introduced to the magazine. This addition created a moment to take a breath amidst the digestion of new experiences, similar to looking out the hotel window in a foreign country.
Good Design Is Often Recognized
C&T Magazine was awarded the GDUSA 2013 and 2014 In-house Design Award and the 2014 American Design Award from Graphic Design USA. The magazine received these awards in two out of the first three years after its redesign.
